Suna is a New York native who also spent time living in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a nature nerd which ultimately influenced her most recent move to Denver, Colorado.
Suna grew up just South of the Catskill mountains and has spent all of her free time hiking, camping, and backpacking with her two dogs, Killian and Cain. Just shortly before moving to Colorado, she started her 46’er journey in the Adirondacks. Suna hiked 10 of the 46 mountains and hopes to one day complete them all. Now she has a new goal, complete all of the Colorado 14’ers!
After attending Westchester Community College to obtain her Associates degree in Communications, she went on to Suffolk University in Boston to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies and Pre-Law. While finishing her undergraduate education she began working in a high-volume personal injury law firm in downtown Boston at the Law Offices of Jeffrey S. Glassman, LLC. What started off as an internship quickly became a full-time position with the responsibility of meeting clients and gathering initial information necessary to build their cases. Suna then gained additional experience as a litigation paralegal at Sugarman & Sugarman, P.C. in Boston directly assisting one of the partners in high-value and catastrophic personal injury cases.
Suna now works as a pre-litigation personal injury paralegal assisting Partner Brianne Falgien. Suna also assists the FWI Legal partners with marketing and networking. She takes on the important role of getting the word out in the community about how FWI Legal can help people with their injury cases and educating everyone she meets about what sets FWI Legal apart.
Suna has a level of compassion and understanding that is necessary for the personal injury field. Her goal is to always listen with an open heart and get her clients the help they need and ultimately deserve.
Q & A to Suna:
1. What made you decide to work for FWI Legal?
The genuine energy – simply put. I have worked in a few law firms on the East coast and FWI Legal is by far the most genuine atmosphere I have encountered for both employees and clients. They truly care about every person they come in contact with, treat everyone with compassion, and do their best to try and assist in any way they can… and that is rare.
2. What made you want to make Colorado your home?
The first time I saw the mountains while landing in Colorado, I knew this was going to be my home. Nature is incredibly important to me and it plays a big role in my lifestyle. While the Adirondacks and Catskills will also have a special place in my heart, it’s the Rockies that won me over. I am very excited to fill all my weekends with hiking, camping, and exploring.
3. What made you decide to become a paralegal?
Since I was young, I always had an interest in law. About every male in my family was a police officer, and my dad a firefighter, so it was only natural that I take part in the field. Lucky for me, I truly enjoy it and have a passion for helping people. I found that being a paralegal is a great way for me to start my legal career before one day becoming an attorney. I thrive off of the hands-on experience and learn an invaluable amount.
