Jess Limon recently graduated from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She has received a dual degree in Legal Studies and Women’s Studies in addition to obtaining a paralegal certificate.
Jess was born and raised in Southern California, where she was a part of the local high school drum line, marching band, and women’s wrestling team. Moving to Colorado has motivated Jess to partake in the many outdoor activities that Colorado is known for, her favorite being paddle boarding.
During her time at Hamline University, Jess was involved in different activities such as mock trial, residential life, and philanthropy. Her senior year was spent working part time for the Tubman Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping women struggling with domestic violence, dating violence, and addiction.
In her free time, Jess likes to improve her personal best in the gym. She also likes to attend as many sporting events as possible. Jess can also be found at various coffee shops indulging in a latte while she is works on her writing projects.
Q & A to Jess
1. What made you decide to become a paralegal?
Becoming a paralegal was the first step to getting my foot in the door of the legal realm. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with the law and luckily, Hamline University allowed me to study that which I am passionate about. Working as a paralegal has allowed me to learn through a hands-on approach not only about the law, but also the logistics in regards to working in a firm.
2. What made you decide to work for FWI?
FWI was built upon a strong foundation that every case is important and every client should be treated with the utmost care. I am honored to be a part of a team comprised of extremely talented and passionate people that love what they do and also pride themselves on being good at what they do!
3. What made you want to make Colorado your home?
Colorado is a beautiful place; the Rocky Mountains are captivating and Denver alone has much to offer in terms of culture and activities! I learn something new about this state every time I venture out and see what it has to offer. Additionally, I’ve been a Rockies and Broncos fan since I could learn how to talk.
