Eric’s Story
Eric has been practicing law in the Denver metro area since 2010, and has worked for large firms, small firms, and as a solo practitioner. Eric has worked primarily as a personal injury attorney, and in that role has guided hundreds of clients’ cases to successful resolutions. He has worked with Falgien Warr & Iyer, P.C., since March 2021.
Working for larger, high volume personal injury firms has provided Eric with significant insight in to how automobile insurance companies and claims adjusters evaluate claims. Using this insight, Eric has achieved dozens of six figure settlements on behalf of injured parties, and has worked on catastrophic cases involving over one million dollars in damages. This experience has also resulted in Eric having close familiarity with all stages of personal injury claims. As a personal injury attorney, Eric has significant experience representing individuals who have been injured in:
-Motor vehicle collisions
-Slip and falls and other premises liability claims
-General negligence, such as dog bites
Eric also has significant civil litigation experience, having represented clients in evictions, breach of contract actions, residential foreclosures, and mechanic’s lien foreclosures. Eric has represented contractors and landlords through trial, and understands how to bring cases to cost effective and successful conclusions. This varied practice experience gives Eric a broad perspective when approaching the litigation process.
In handling clients’ cases, Eric believes in a detail-oriented approach centered on understanding individual circumstances and explaining what to expect. Eric’s goal through this approach is to maximize each client’s individual recovery, and to make sure that each client understands the process every step of the way.
Eric attended the University of Colorado Law School on a full academic scholarship, and graduated in 2010. He is also a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.
Q & A with Eric D. Lund:
1. Why work as a personal injury attorney?
I enjoy obtaining good results for clients, and working in an area of law where the end goal is to put money in my clients’ pockets. The contingency fee structure allows representation of clients who may not otherwise be able to afford an attorney, and also allows me to focus on achieving results, as opposed to simply billing hours. Personal injury work also allows for a work/life balance that is somewhat unique in the practice of law.
2. What did you do before you became an attorney?
Prior to law school, I worked as a newspaper reporter, and have written for The Des Moines Register and The Toledo Blade. I was also the news editor of The Iowa State Daily during my time as an undergraduate at Iowa State University, where I majored in journalism.
3. What do you do when you aren’t practicing law?
Outside of the practice of law, I enjoy spending time outdoors, as well as reading, gaming, and spending time with friends and family. I’m an avid downhill skier, and also enjoy bicycling and hiking.
